Lily had said to open my own welcome thread and tell something about me.
Well I am a single mother of three grown boys ages 22, 21, and 20. I am 44 years old and in college, I should be done May 2006, I am majoring in criminal justice and sociology.
My 22 year old son is the one who had showed me Lord of the Rings. I had taken him to dinner and movie and he wanted to see TTT so I went also to see it. But I was confused in the story and asked him about it and he had told me about the first one FOTR and that there were books so I rented FOTR and read all the books before the ROTK came out. It was in TTT that I had falling in love with David Wenham.
As I had said that I just love reading tales about LOTR and the actors.

You are not the only one here who fell in love with Faramir, the movie as well as the book version. Your boys must have kept you busy when they were kids, given the small age difference they have. Good luck with your studies!

Welcome here! I hope you will enjoy yourself here, because as Lily said, you are not alone with your love towards Faramir! ;D
When you are not in Gondor, where are you? Simply: where do you live?

You're in good company here with lots of Faramir fans. I write angsty stories where the poor man suffers dreadfully, but base my Faramir on the book with some angsty traits from the films.I read LOTR many years ago and virtually forgot about it until the films came out,ROTK bowled me over !

(((((lily))))) yes they did their jobs and keep me on my toes. But they have bought me as much joy as pain. Since I had seen TTT which is the first movie Faramir was in I could not based the book agaisnt the movie at the time. But when I did read the book, I fall more in love with Faramir. And they could not have picked a better actor to play Faramir.
((((((laerien)))))) LOL well when I am not in Gondor with Faramir I live in Murray, Kentucky USA. And it is a honor to with other Faramir lovers.
((((((lindahoyland)))))))) I will be looking forward to reading your stories. ROTK was my fav. film as well as the book.
Thanks for the welcome ladies.

But you're a woman - you un derstand about things like Christmas and all the work involved! You live in Murray?? How cute is that. I adore David Wenham's Murray character, but that might belong in a thread about Shane Maloney seeing as this is a literary board.

You will love them, and maybe we can get them copied for you if you would like?

I am also a mother and also...erm of a certain age. okay, I'm 42! Anyway, I'm a stay-at-home mom and have become quite addicted to fan fiction--reading and writing. I have dabbled in Harry Potter fiction but now write LotR fics.
Faramir is by far the most delicious character for me in the movies, for me anyway.
David Wenham's films are not easy to find, here in the US. Did you see Van Helsing? The movie is kind of lousy, but David Wenham plays Carl--kind of the Q to Van Helsing's James Bond. He's adorable in that!
Have you penned any tales of your own? It's really not that hard once you get going!
Welcome on board!

I have benn putting off updating for a few reasons. I had to calm down first and I had to try and stay positive. Well Mondy I had gotten the eviction notice. I was at work and when I had gotten home it was in the door. Dennis had hand written it, it was sloppy, but any way he had given me 30 days and had said that he will be taking me to small claims court. When I get paid Friday and get some more gas in my car, I will be paying the Fire Marshall another visit tell him that they did not spray the other apt. yet, and even through I had bombed over here it's done no good. The roaches are so much worst now. They need to make them do something before they try to rent out the place (both sides) again. We all know that roaches come out more at night then day time. And I would hate to have any one rent this place with all these roaches. Now Geneva is trying to tell me that I have been behind in rent since Dec. 2005. NO I have not, I had given them money all the up until the month of May and then around March or April I had asked for my May's rent money back. She had written a check and in the memo she had written "refund Mays rent" I told her that she had better find that. You remember me posting about the story that Geneva was always telling me about how hard her daughter and husband (Dennis) were having it. Well what I had not mention was that they would hold my checks for about 3 weeks or so before cashing it. Leon had told me that he is getting sick of them holding checks for 2 to 3 weeks, he says that it is screwing up his checking account. So we were talking about how we all hear the same old story each month and we had decided that they are not that hard up after all. If they were they would be cashing checks the same day they had gotten them. And then I had told them to come on the 21st of July. Well Dennis and wife were flying back to Texas and Genvea and Bret never come by until one week later. But yet they are so hard up for money, one set flying to Texas (and flew back on Monday just to write me my sloppy eviction and then fly off to Texas again. Darn I wish that I was the hard up for money.) the other set can not tell days very well. It is really hard staying positive when I am going to end up on the streets. I had done packed up seven boxes last night of my things, packing roaches as well. I have got to fine a place to store my things until I can find a place to stay. I have the appoint with Murray Housing Authority Aug 11th, but I don't know if they can get me in a place right away or how much money that I will have to have. I hope that I have enough to pay off the cash places and then get the money out again. I have to pay the light bill, put gas in the car, and doing some running arond trying to store my stuff and find some where to stay, and buy the collar shirt and black socks. And since I do not have a lot of hours, it is going to be good luck to me. Well I am hoping that things will pick up for me as I start the second job, or at least keep my bills up dated.
