Anyone know how I can get my avatar back? Since proboards was upgraded, I've tried modifying my profile to put the url link in there twice, and it's not working. Or at least, I can't see it. I want my evil bunny back, darnit!!

I don't know SMOR. They're having problems on Wenham Wonderland with avatars too. I will have a look at the proboards forum and see if there are any topics about it. (Like an eejit I went to reply to your post and used modify instead of quote, which is why you now have an edit by me!) Oh, and whilst I have your attention........have you done any more about Eophod? And are you likely to post the first part here? ETA: This is the proboards forum, which might be useful if anyone has a question we can't answer, or if we're not around. support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=support&action=display&n=1&thread=1117998169

I haven't written anything else on Eophod... I've been trying to work out my writer's block with an RP-related ficlet lately, which is almost done, and then I'm hoping to get back to the Eowyn story. But I can certainly post what I have up.
Guess I'll just keep trying to resubmit my avatar in the meantime--thanks though!

What is RP?

RP stands for role-play. Sometimes it's also called an RPG (role-playing game). Basically, it's a story where each person picks one character and writes him or her. The one I'm doing is on TORC, sort of an AU about a Rohirric eored where some women were allowed to join, so (surprise) I'm writing one of the women. We're currently in the battle of the Pelennor, so it's been a lot of fun. And it started over in the Alliance and Guild board, so in order to get the old guild going again once we moved it to the Prancing Pony board, someone had the idea about writing short stories based on our characters, so a bunch of us have been doing that lately. Hope that explanation helps. Oh- and Rosie-- I posted up the Eophod thing this morning.

RPGs sound like something I should avoid, unless I want to further exacerbate my already dangerous computer addiction...

Thanks, SMOR. I actually know that abbreviation, especially I am taking part in a RP myself. I just could not connect it to you and the ficlet you were talking about.
What a surprise! ;D

Eggo- yes, quite addicting, but fun. Rosie- Real Person fic? That is so not my style. ;D Lily- oh, fun! What type of RP are you doing, just out of curiosity? My pic still isn't working.

SMOR, I am occasionally writing on TORC in the "Lucky Fortune Inn", which is an RP thread for everyone and not taken very seriously.
And I am one of the "Players Of Bree", an RP that takes place before the beginning of the War Of the Rings, when hobbits just started to settle in Bree.
And you?

Mine's called "Riders of Rohan". So far we've only done War of the Ring, though we started it back before Theodred died so we had some stuff that wasn't in the actual Two Towers timeframe. One of the guys apparently has an idea for something we can do to keep it going after that's done, since none of us want to end it withr the fall of Mordor, but he hasn't told us what it is yet.

Yes, I'd hug my icon, but I'm afraid it would bite my face off. ;D
But thanks to all of you who offered suggestions.
