I came across this on a list I'm a member of and found it interesting. I've seen all the to ten save "Pulp Fiction."
The 100 Best Films of all Times - as voted by the readers of German
German movie mag 'cinema', had asked their readers to send in their 10 suggestions for the "100 Best Films of all Times", as they do so every six years. Back in 2000 the winner was "Schindler's List", followed by "Titanic". Interesting enough, no German film has made it onto the list this : #100 Independence Day #99 Finding Nemo #97 Armageddon #66 Aliens #59 Life of Brian #58 Walk The Line #57 Die Hard 2 #44 Moulin Rouge #43 King Kong (PJ) #27 Star Wars Ep. 2 #18 Satr Wars Ep. 1 #17 Schindler's List #16 Braveheart #15 Star Wars #14 Sin City #13 Return of the Jedi #12 Star Wars Ep. 3 #11 Gladiator #10 Forrest Gump #8 Titanic #6 The Empire Strikes Back #4 Matrix #3 Pirates of the Carribbean #2 Pulp Fiction #1 The Lord Of The Rings trilogy

I have bought this mag today. I am not surprised, that no German film has made into the list.

Those most recent three Star Wars movies were junk! But, I guess they were very expensive junk and made a lot of money. This list looks more like blockbusters rather than fabulous movies (excepting a few, of course.)

I agree about the Star wars films, they had some interesting ideas but nothing was done with them. In my view, only Gladiator,Forrest Gump, Moulin Rouge(maybe) and of course LOTR had artistic merit. I'm glad that came first

I've never understood all the interest in Pulp Fiction, frankly.
Also, something to remember is who the audience is for the magazine taking the poll. Judging by the preponderence of recent blockbusters, I suspect that it is a young, general audience. But then what do i know about the German film going audience.

I am usually avoiding German movies in the cinemas. Some of them are actually good, but the ones on TV are usually dreadful. I am also surprised about the second rank of "Pulp Fiction", but I remember that it had hugely been advertised and got excellent critics. I didn´t see it.
