Which character in Narnia did you find most most interesting?
I was fascinated by the reasons behind Edmund's actions.
I liked Lucy and Peter the best but Edmund gave me the most food for thought.

Lacking any background on the hunky Centaur general, I'll also vote for Edmund as the most interesting character in TLTWATW, book and movie.
In the book, Edmund's isolation and resentment and bad behavior are caused by the influence of the British public school system, IIRC (C.S. Lewis supposedly had very bad memories of the same). In the movie, Edmund's lies and treachery are rooted in his longing for his father, who is away fighting WWII. He seems to feel that his family is broken, and his father isn't there to fix things, and Edmund resents Peter for trying to take their father's place as the top authority. He also feels overlooked, and desperately craves attention, hence his easy fall to the White Witch's offer of not only sweets, but the high status of being a Prince and future King. Edmund doesn't seem to have a clue that he is betraying his siblings to what will be their death, he doesn't even want them around, but the WW convinces him that they will be his servants.
When Edmund realizes that not only has he been a total idiot, and the WW's dupe, and been party to considerable Evil, he not only reforms, but he strikes a great and heroic blow for the forces of Good. He attacks the WW directly, placing himself in considerable danger, and aims for her wand, and cripples her by removing her ability to turn others into stone. Edmund nearly pays a fatal price for his intelligence and boldness.
I would have liked to know more about what kind of King Edmund was, how he coped with being the Second King. Of course, some might consider an assault on the White Witch an even braver act than the duel with the Wolf. And he used his brain as well as speed and good reflexes, which I find appealing.
Other interesting characters in Narnia - Caspian (the orphan who overcame danger and mystery and became a great King) and Aravis...

My favorite Narnian character would have to be Eustace. Not that Edmund isn't NICE, it's just, I like all the books which have Eustace and/or Jill in them. I liked the whole thing about the dragon in "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"
But, the most INTERESTING character would have to be Susan. Why did she forget about Narnia? I want to know more about Susan's life to make her forget like that. I found her diffidence quite shocking, in spite of the fact that, in Prince Caspian, she sees Aslan last.

Hmmm... my favorite character is probably Puddleglum (the Marvin of the Narnia series), though I quite like Reepicheep, Aravis, and Eustace also (Eustace's diary in VotDT is absolutely priceless). As for the most interesting character... hmmm... I'd probably agree with the others and say Edmund. Though Jadis intrigues me also... what was the Deplorable Word™, anyway?

Heh, I didn't know we were counting non-humans. I also love Reepicheep and Puddleglum. Puddleglum and his 'we're all gonna die' attitude is priceless. I'd have to agree with you that among non-humans, Puddleglum rocks.

A fellow Puddleglum fan! ;D I should also mention that, after three trips to the cinema, Mr. Tumnus is officially my favorite movie character. By the way, you guys read any Narnia fanfic? I spent last night browsing through FF.net's collection, and my parody muse has already started screaming for blood...
