(Concerning Hobbits: From map at Bilbo's house to Frodo reading.)
I forgot just how relaxing and tranquil the music is when they're at the Shire. I adore the score of this movie. It's spot on, in my opinion.
After hearing Bilbo discuss Hobbits, the first thing that came to my mind was that I could more understand why the Elves the four Hobbits come upon at the beginning of their journey said that Hobbits were dull. At the time I read that line it really cheesed me off, but now...not so much.
The countryside in the Shire is so unspoiled and tranquil. It looks like a nice spot for a vacation...If you're short that is.

I totally agree with you about the music. Sometimes, I just listen to it and relax after a rough day.
And I simply love Bilbo's monolog about Hobbits.
The best thing in this scene was that in one or two minutes it showed you so much about hobbits. How they live. After that, the person who watched it could feel as Gandlaf says " You can get to know everything about them in weeks" (I know these are not the exact words)
