FotR: Rivendell, Many Meetings, The Fate of the Ring(Scenes begin with Frodo waking up in Rivendell and end with Elrond saying (regarding Aragorn) “He has chosen exile.”) Here's my take on the scenes. The sets they had for Rivendell were lovely-whether a lot was bluescreen or not—I haven’t had the chance to explore all of the commentaries yet. Sam’s devotion to Frodo is touching, when he runs in after Frodo wakes up and Gandalf says he has been by his side almost nonstop. The flashback to Saruman is okay—he does have better hair than Gandalf. When I first saw these movies Elrond captivated me. His voice is so silky and smooth, like butta, as they say. ;D They have a nice flashback where Elrond tells about the ring and I wondered why he didn’t just snatch it from Isildur and chuck it in himself? When Boromir was shown riding in to Rivendell in slo-mo, I forgot all about sexy Elrond. That is one fine looking Man. When Legolas is shown riding in he looks around and I got the impression at first that he had never been there before and was taking it all in. That doesn’t fit with the movie version of him seeming to know Aragorn so well. I wonder if I just misinterpreted the look. Things start to heat up in the next section—Boromir and Aragorn butt heads and there is a cute little scene called The Council of Elrond.
