Great link! And I would like to make note that Dan Brown is guilty of every single one of the sins on this list. I nearly cracked a rib (from amusement or horror?) when the introduction of the protagonist in The Da Vinci Code began with waking up in an unfamiliar room, saying Where am I?, and then wandering over to the mirror. *sighs* Every time I check the papers and see that book on the top of the bestseller's list, I shed another tear for mankind... ;D But I break these rules all the time, too...

I think once we start writing ourselves, we become very concious of badly written books !It seems to write a best seller you need something sensational and who cares how it is written? I had read the central preise of "The Da Vinci Code" years ago in a book called "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail," so it was al old hat me. I'm surprised the authors of that book lost their case against Dan Brown.I'm pleased you enjoyed the link.
