There's kind of a Robin Hood revival atm, with websites popping up all over the place. Can't for the life of me work out how to do an Affiliates thing on here - maybe it's only for newer versions of Proboards? Anyway, this is an excellent site, and as I can't do an official Affiliation, this is the next best thing. robinhood2006.proboards99.com/index.cgiFeel free to add any others you may see if you are a Hoodie.

Hey Rosie -
I just saw some advertisementson BBC America that showed an arrow being shot. That's all. Then the ad said only "March 2007." I thought to myself, "Hmm, is the BBC doing something with Robin Hood?" And now I see your post. Ah hah! The BBC has indeed done Robin Hood for 2006 and he's coming to the US next year.
Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. - Steff He's adorable Stef. And the series is very different - kind of tongue in cheek humour, but with some dark moments too. The dialogue has been made pretty modern, with lots of politically correct references which some people like, and some don't. Some of the humour just kills me! A guy tried to kill the Sheriff, and thought he had succeeded but he didn't know the Sheriff used a decoy. Would be assassin: I shot the Sheriff. Sheriff (appearing behind him): No, you shot the deputy. Robin himself is a complex character. Young, headstrong, selfish, arrogant, cheeky, an idealist, kind, caring. And from a totally shallow pov, he's very cute with the most beautiful blue eyes. ;D He has an active fan site too. jonasarmstrongfansite.com/index.php?act=idx

Thanks, Rosie. BBC America is now showing regular previews of "Robin Hood." I can't wait. If you like it, then I suspect I will, as well. Your recommendation of the new Dr. Who is what got me watching it on SciFi--and it's my absolute favorite TV show right now.

Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes for the second series. I think the characters themselves are near perfect.
