You know, I live in Budapest, and I know the news were full of the recent events in many countries. And I was just wondering what the general view is about this abroad... How do people from other countries see this, and what does the media say?
Anyone?

Are people still protesting in the streets? I don't follow the news as closely as I should, but I don't see any news coverage about the protests after October 25th or so. IMHO, any politician so thoroughly discredited as your PM should resign. I hope that there is a peaceful way to resolve the situation. By the way, I live in Cleveland, USA, and since the town has a large population of Hungarian expatriates (many of whom arrived in 1956), there were some concerts and other events in honor of the anniversary of the uprising.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't heard anything about recent riots in Budapest - I hope that things are calming down, or at least improved, by now.

Welcome, Branwyn, it is good to see you here. The Budapest riots were in our papers for a day or two with comments that our politicians should resign too for being untruthful.

. LOL! Other parties do the same, just they hid it better! One of the problems is that a new PM would cost too much for the country, and that we cannot afford when we do not have enough money. (and btw, no one knows who could be the next PM) Anyway just watch the news. Tomorrow, there are 29 announced riots in Budapest. My father doesn't allow us to go near to the centre of the city. I bet the hooligans will appear again...
