Who has seen "The Island" or "Flight Plan"?
I have seen both and they are both so wonderful, Sean had played his roles very good.

I saw "Flightplan", which was pretty good. I would have liked it better had Sean been in it more. He was so wonderful in the movie "National Treasure." I've not seen "The Island." Was it that sci fi one with that other British guy in it? Yeah, I know, I can't recall his name though.

I saw them both. ;D
Sean was great in Flightplan, but he had not enough screen-time.
The Island was pretty good and very entertaining.

I've not seen "The Island." Was it that sci fi one with that other British guy in it? Yeah, I know, I can't recall his name though. He's Scottish, and his name's Ewan McGregor. He's from Moulin Rouge, and I spent the entire duration of The Island waiting for him to break into song. Was sorely disappointed when he did not, though he made up for it somewhat by running around and getting sweaty in a white track suit. I haven't seen Flightplan yet... but I did see National Treasure. ;D I guess it was highly unpatriotic of me to be rooting for the "dirty foreign vandals", but Sean Bean trumps all of those other, more minor loyalties...

Ah, Scottish, eh? My bad...hated Moulin Rogue. What is the best role you've seen Sean Bean play? I admit freely that I haven't seen loads of his stuff, having only been turned on to him (or by him ) from the teesny part he played in Lord of the Rings. Any ideas?

Any ideas? You must be joking! It´s Sharpe, Sharpe, Sharpe and yes...Sharpe! ;D It´s a British series. The story is about the Napolean wars and Sharpe is an English officer, who comes up from the ranks, which has apparently been very unusual. I´ll send you pictures, if you like. A new one has been filmed and will be aired in April in UK and I think also in USA.

I saw Flightplan and thought Sean Bean looked great in the uniform.I enjoyed the film but my friend I went with hated it.
Sean Bean's best role is Sharpe by far. His sexiest role was Mellors in " Lady Chatterly's Love"where he froliced naked amonst the foxgloves ! I thought he was almost too good as Boromir.I can understand why some fanfics lionise Boromir as he comes across as far more of a tragic hero than in the books.

Sorry, Lily, LOL! ;D I didn't mean to raise your blood pressure. I may have heard of Sharpe, but I'm not sure. I know we do occasionally get imports of British shows on some of the cable stations. I'd love to see pics! I assume from your and Linda's responses that this is a good show? Hey Linda, you got some pics of that movie you're talking about? I thought that was a porn movie, but maybe I'm thinking of another version, LOL!

Lady Chatterley is not really a porn movie, and I agree with Linda. When my blood pressure will be in a reasonable height again , I´ll send you pictures - or you can have a look at this site to get an idea: www.full-of-beans.net/The Sharpe series is definitely a good one, especially if you like a bit of a historic background.

It sounds like my period piece collection is crying for another addition. And, since Lady Chatterly's Lover is a work of classic literature, no one will question my motives... <-- Is this the most lascivious smiley we have?

I remember when there was a move called 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' that caused quite the stir here in the 70s. It was rated X. It may be a different one from the one you guys are talking about, but to an impressionable kid it was quite naughty to even consider, LOL! Eggos, I'm not sure if you're parents would approve. Lily, the site is great! He must've been quite young then, the sweetheart. He looks like a kid. A cable station called A&E airs a lot of imported stuff. I know they've had 'Reilly Ace of Spies' and 'Horatio Hornblower.' Is 'Sharpe' in a movie format or more like a mini-series?

They will if I read the book first—then it's educational. The "But It's Educational" trump card will work miracles. (I'm counting on it to get me into "300", anyway...)

Sharpe was a series on TV, but each episode is the length of a film.
I once tried to read "Lady Chatterley" and was quickly fed up.It seems to be little but swear words describing sex and a pretty tedious story. The TV series is much more fun. I'm afraid I haven't any photos on my PC of it.

So this Lady Chatterley was a TV series and not a movie? I must be on a completely different wavelength then, with what I have been imagining.

I think that some one told me that they are trying to being that show back. I have not seen a lot of Sean movies either. I have seen "The Island", "National Treasure", "Troy", "Flight Plan" and of course "LOTR"

Talk of the devil! We watched The Island in Biology today. Very nearly spontaneously combusted from excess of internal fangirling—all in all, much, much more exciting than base nucleotide sequences.
Now, if only we'd watched Troy in History...

I had forgotten that he was in Troy. There was quite a bit of the old eye candy in the movie, if I recall correctly.
Is The Island worth a rental? How much is he in it?
